Does the Aura Wind produce ozone?
No. The UV-C lamp is fully enclosed inside the unit and is ozone-free. The Aura Wind filters and sterilizes without producing any ozone byproducts.
How often do the filters need to be replaced?
Up to 12 months, depending on usage and air quality. Rooms with heavier dust, traffic or VOC load may need replacement sooner. Replacement filters are available through Safe Steps: contact us to order.
How loud is it in practice?
On low speed the Aura Wind runs at about 35 dB — similar to a quiet library, suitable for offices and classrooms. At maximum speed it reaches 65 dB, about the level of normal conversation.
How much does it cost to run?
