Warranty

Effective October 25, 2026. This page sets out the limited warranties for products sold by Safe Steps, a brand of PPE Innovations, LLC. Safe Steps handles every warranty claim for you, whichever company provides the warranty.

Who provides the warranty

The warranty applies to the original purchaser of a product bought new from safestepsusa.com, steppeys.com or the Safe Steps store on Amazon.

What is covered

Defects in materials and workmanship that appear under normal use, when the product is installed, operated and maintained according to its instructions, during the warranty period.

What is not covered

Filters, UV-C lamps and other parts that are replaced as routine maintenance. These are sold separately; contact us to order them.
Normal wear, and cosmetic damage that does not affect how the product works.
Damage caused by misuse, accidents, drops, liquids, power surges, use on the wrong voltage (the Aura Storm and Aura Wind run on standard 120 V power), or not following the instructions.
Products repaired, opened or modified by anyone not authorized by Safe Steps or Invictus Sterilization.
Steppeys® film that has already been applied, cut or used, stored improperly, or used with a dispenser other than a genuine Steppeys® dispenser.
Damage that happens in shipping. Report it within 24 hours of delivery under the damaged-merchandise terms in our Refund policy.

What we will do

If a covered defect is confirmed, a replacement of the same product will be issued upon return of the original equipment. If that product is no longer available, we will replace it with a comparable product of equal or greater value. The replacement is covered for the rest of the original warranty period.

Safe Steps pays the shipping for approved warranty claims, both for returning the original equipment and for sending the replacement. We will email you a prepaid return label.

How to make a warranty claim

Contact us at (469) 324-9072 or info@safestepsusa.com, or use our contact form.
Include your order number or other proof of purchase, the product name, a description of the problem and, if you can, a photo or short video.
We will confirm the claim, send a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number and a prepaid shipping label.
Pack the original equipment securely, write the RMA number on the outside of the box and ship it to SAFE STEPS, Returns, 1260 25th St Pl SE, Hickory, NC 28602.
Your replacement ships once we receive and inspect the original equipment.

Limits of this warranty

This limited warranty is the only express warranty given for these products and applies in place of the general disclaimer in our Terms of Service for the products and periods listed above. To the extent the law allows, any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the warranty period above, and neither Safe Steps nor Invictus Sterilization is liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

The warranty covers product defects only. It is not a guarantee of any health outcome, and no product can guarantee infection prevention. FDA 510(k) clearance applies to the Aura Storm only.
